Road Racing is rapidly becoming a very popular sport, as a result of talented Australian riders who have made their mark on the most prestigious and richest of all motorcycle events, the World Grand Prix as well as the World Superbike scene, have inspired others to reach for the ultimate in speed. There are Road Racing Is a very diverse sport catering for every level of ability and all budgets. There is a range from stock standard production machines right through to the exclusive Grand Prix machines and Super bikes. There are also classes for small bikes, low powered bikes through to classes for Harley Davidsons and Sidecars. |

Age Limits |
The age varies from state to state but an MA license is available at 15 years old in most cases, There is no upper limit on age for any class. |

Limited to cities usually, there are a few regional areas that have facilities suitable for road racing. |

Cost |
The initial cost can be moderate to expensive if you buy all new gear. But there are many bargains. protective clothing can often be found at less then 1/2 price at many swap meets. The cost of a bike will depend on the class you choose to race in, Cost can be in the 10's of thousands of dollars when talking about racing super bike or supersport, but, minimal cost for the racing of super lights. Membership fees vary from club to club as does competition entry fees. but you will need to obtain a license from the governing state body an affiliate of the controlling body Motorcycling Australia |
