If you are in to extreme fun, natural terrain and high flying, motocross is your sport. Motocross is run on tracks shaped from natural terrain and produces fast, close and exciting racing. Motocross is one of the most physically demanding forms of motorcycle sports, This sport will test both the rider and their machines to the limits.

 

 

Age Limits
starting age , upper age limit

Junior riders can start from 4 years old in most states, however, there are restrictions to what they can ride check rules at your local club. There is no limit for age at which someone has to stop riding motox,

Most towns have a motox track within easy access,  most regional centers have clubs as well as the Cities

125 class (110-125cc): Beginner, Junior, Intermediate, Pro

250 class (150-250cc): Beginner, Junior, Intermediate, Pro

500 class (351cc and larger): Beginner, Junior, Intermediate, Pro

U.T.H. Age 25 - 29 (01cc and larger)

Vet class Age 30-39 (01cc and larger): Amateur, Pro

OT class Age 40+ (01cc and larger)

Grand Prix classes are open to 100cc and larger

Minicycle classes are as follows:

80cc Beginner/Expert: Maximum age 16

60cc: Maximum age 11

50cc PeeWee: Age 4-8

Cost
Entries, bikes, protective gear, memberships etc

The initial cost can be moderate to expensive if you buy all new gear. But there are many bargains. protective clothing can often be found at less then 1/2 price at many swap meets. Membership fees vary from club to club as does competition entry fees. but you will need to obtain a license from the governing state body an affiliate of the controlling body Motorcycling Australia
